PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Porous plugs are installed in the ladle bottom and connected to an argon gas supply. Bubbling argon through the steel bath stirs the melt, homogenises temperature and chemistry, promotes inclusion flotation, and reduces total oxygen content — directly improving finished steel cleanliness and mechanical properties.

INSTALLATION NOTES

Ensure mortar completely seals the annular gap between porous plug and well block

Connect argon line — test gas flow before tapping first heat

After each campaign: inspect and measure plug erosion — replace if worn beyond safe limit

Monitor gas pressure during heat — sudden pressure increase indicates plug clogging
