PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The monoblock stopper (stopper rod) is an isostatically pressed alumina-graphite refractory rod that seats into the tundish nozzle to regulate steel flow into the continuous-casting mould. A ZrO₂-C nose insert resists erosion at the sealing point, and an internal argon line can purge the nose to prevent clogging. Precise stopper control governs mould level stability, vortex prevention and steel cleanliness. Available from leading flow-control manufacturers.
