Graphite-bonded alumina-carbon bricks for steel ladle walls, slag zones and impact pads
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Alumina-carbon (Al₂O₃-C) bricks combine 70–90% Al₂O₃ with 5–20% graphite carbon and antioxidants. The carbon makes the brick non-wetting to slag and steel and gives outstanding thermal-shock resistance, while the alumina provides refractoriness and erosion resistance. They are a mainstay of steel ladle working linings, impact pads and slide-gate surrounds. TRL Krosaki supplies a full Al₂O₃-C and Al₂O₃-SiC-C range.
