PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Acid proof cement is the bedding and jointing material that holds acid-proof brick and tile linings together and seals them against chemical attack. Sodium/potassium-silicate (water-glass) types with a silicofluoride hardener give >96% acid resistance and service to ~1000°C; furan, epoxy and phenolic resin mortars handle organic chemistry and combined acid-alkali exposure at lower temperatures. Correct cement selection is as important as the brick itself.
