PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Plastic refractories are stiff, putty-like mixes supplied ready to install — rammed or pneumatically gunned into place and then dried in service. Phosphate-bonded high-alumina grades develop strength rapidly on heating and give excellent volume stability around complex shapes. They are ideal for burner blocks, kiln nose rings, patching and any lining around tubes or irregular geometry where casting is impractical. CUMI supplies clay, high-alumina and SiC plastic grades.

Ram in 25–50 mm layers with a pneumatic rammer; key into anchors for vertical/overhead work

Cut vent holes for moisture/volatile escape before heat-up

Controlled dry-out: 30°C/hr to 350°C with holds; phosphate bond develops strength on first firing
