PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Microporous insulation is built from fumed (pyrogenic) silica with infrared opacifiers and reinforcing fibre, engineered so the pore size is below the mean free path of air molecules. The result is the lowest thermal conductivity of any solid insulation — around 0.020–0.030 W/m·K — letting a thin panel match the performance of a much thicker conventional board. Ideal for back-up insulation where space and shell temperature are both constrained.
