PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Ceramic fiber products are manufactured from aluminosilicate fibres produced by melting and fiberising a blend of Al₂O₃ and SiO₂. They offer extremely low thermal mass (enabling rapid furnace heat-up and cool-down), very low thermal conductivity, and good resistance to thermal shock. Two chemistries are supplied: the standard RT grade rated to 1260°C (Al₂O₃ 45–48%, SiO₂ 52–55%), and the zirconia-bearing HTZ grade rated to 1425°C (Al₂O₃ 35–37%, SiO₂ 47–49%, ZrO₂ 14–18%) where the extra service temperature is needed. Available as blanket, module, board, vacuum-formed shapes, paper, rope and bulk wool, each suited to a different installation requirement.

INSTALLATION NOTES

Blanket: wrap around cylindrical vessels or layer on flat surfaces, overlap joints by 50 mm

Modules: attach to shell plate using stud welding, butt joints, no gaps

Boards: cut with hand saw or angle grinder, wear respiratory protection when cutting fibres

Expansion gaps: ceramic fiber requires no expansion gaps (it compresses and expands freely)

Anchoring: stainless steel stud anchors every 300–400 mm for overhead and vertical applications

Vapour barrier: apply rigidiser or colloidal silica coating on hot face to prevent fibre erosion in high-velocity gas applications
