Installation notes

  1. 1Surface preparation: concrete or steel substrate must be clean, dry, and free of oil/grease
  2. 2Apply primer coat, epoxy primer for steel, concrete primer for concrete substrate
  3. 3Use appropriate acid-resistant cement: furan resin (best acid resistance), phenolic resin, or potassium silicate
  4. 4Bed mortar thickness: 3–6 mm, applied to both brick and substrate (buttered joint)
  5. 5Joint width: 3–6 mm, fully filled with acid-resistant mortar
  6. 6Curing: furan resin mortars, 24 hrs at 25°C before any chemical exposure; heat curing improves performance
  7. 7Test before commissioning: hydraulic leak test or chemical spot test
