Installation notes
- 1Blanket: wrap around cylindrical vessels or layer on flat surfaces, overlap joints by 50 mm
- 2Modules: attach to shell plate using stud welding, butt joints, no gaps
- 3Boards: cut with hand saw or angle grinder, wear respiratory protection when cutting fibres
- 4Expansion gaps: ceramic fiber requires no expansion gaps (it compresses and expands freely)
- 5Anchoring: stainless steel stud anchors every 300–400 mm for overhead and vertical applications
- 6Vapour barrier: apply rigidiser or colloidal silica coating on hot face to prevent fibre erosion in high-velocity gas applications
