Installation notes

  1. 1Silicon carbide has a high thermal expansion coefficient, allow 10 mm/m expansion
  2. 2Use SiC mortar or colloidal silica bonded cement for jointing
  3. 3Nitride-bonded grades: do not expose to reducing atmospheres above 1400°C
  4. 4Oxide-bonded grades: suitable for oxidising atmospheres up to 1500°C
