Product Overview
Dense high alumina bricks are pressed and fired to a lower apparent porosity and higher cold crushing strength than standard grades of the same alumina content. The D suffix marks a dense grade and SD a super-dense grade.

Frequently Asked Questions
D marks a dense grade and SD a super-dense grade. A dense brick is pressed and fired to lower apparent porosity and higher cold crushing strength than a standard brick of the same alumina content. The prefix follows our alumina rule: AL- for grades below 60% Al₂O₃ and HA- from 60% upward, so AL-45D is a dense 45% alumina brick and HA-80SD a super-dense 80% brick.
