Installation notes

  1. 1Never place in the flame path — CFI is a backup brick and will not survive direct hot-face duty
  2. 2Lay with insulating mortar, not dense fireclay mortar, or the joint becomes a heat bridge
  3. 3Handle carefully: at ~1.5 MPa these are far weaker than dense brick and chip easily
  4. 4Keep the working lining continuous — any gap lets hot gas reach the CFI layer directly
