Installation notes

  1. 1Pre-heat SEN to 1000–1100°C using dedicated SEN pre-heater (minimum 45 minutes)
  2. 2Never cold-insert SEN into liquid steel, thermal shock will crack it immediately
  3. 3Align SEN centrally in mould, offset causes asymmetric flow and quality problems
  4. 4Apply anti-oxidation paste to upper flange and tundish bottom nozzle interface
