Installation notes
- 1Use magnesite mortar or dry-gunning compound for basic brick joints
- 2Keep joint thickness to absolute minimum: 1–2 mm for highest density
- 3Mag-carbon bricks: handle in dry conditions only, avoid moisture contact
- 4Follow steel-plant dry-out curves: 15°C/hr to 200°C, hold 24 hrs
- 5Expansion allowances: 8–12 mm per metre of lining length
